Included will be artwork by artists Joseph McKinney, Vernita Hardy, Tiffany Charesse, Ren Dillard, Crystal Jin Kim, and Sean Mulkey. The show will run August 5-25 with a reception on August 5, 5-7 pm, hosted by Hudson’s Hickory House.

We invite everyone to come out and celebrate with us! The Douglasville Police Department, in partnership with Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, is sponsoring a Jamboree at our “House of Hope” located at 8304 Hollis Street, Douglasville, GA, on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 1pm – 6pm. The Jamboree will include information from several surrounding city & county resources, balloon animals, kids activities, food, music, and more. There will be something to do for everyone.

The National Juried Arts Show attracts artists throughout Georgia, as well as states across the Country. The annual exhibit is open themed and open to all mediums, bringing a diverse collection from many artists with unique styles and subject matter.
Three expert judges will jury a select number of artworks into the exhibit, and the final group of work will be juried again to arrive at six top pieces that will earn awards and cash prizes. Prizes will be announced at the opening reception on September 2, 5-7 pm. The awards ceremony at the opening reception will be hosted by the Douglas County Art Guild. The cash prizes are sponsored by Miller Architecture and Planning.
This year’s jury panel welcomes three accredited Judges: Nikki Davidson, a professional artist owning Thunder Ridge Studio in Dallas, Ga., trained in California Community Colleges; Valerie Dibble, Professor of Art currently at KSU with a background in printmaking and photography; Shawn Campbell, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Akron and a Master of Fine Arts from UGA. The Exhibit will be on display September 2-30, weekdays 9 am – 5 pm.
